women need connection; men need reward
Male nervous systems regulate to dopamine (motivation, action, reward messenger in the body), while female nervous systems ground with oxytocin (the hormone of love and bonding). Defining the differences gives us beautiful insight into how to honor each other well + explains why cyclical women struggle in a linear world.
aging is not equivalent to initiation
Moving through the motions of menstruation, motherhood, and menopause does not automatically bring us the wisdom we’re meant to embody. Growing older is not the same as growing wiser. Initiations require our active participation in expansion and transformation.
the remedy for overwhelm is support
Overwhelm is a symptom of being under-supported — when we can recognize this truth, everything shifts. Allowing our self to be supported and being the support of the people around us is the reciprocity of life that sustains life.
